And THE PROBLEM is that there is so much information at your finger tips it's easy to get overwhelmed and confused - where do you start?
If you've just purchased your first sewing machine, so some sewing or want to teach your kids to sew, this workshop is for you.
I'm already too busy - there aren't enough hours in the day!
I do some sewing - is this still for me? (spoiler alert: YES! It is!)
I don't know where to start - so I just keep my sewing machine in the box.
I don't know how to choose fabric colors and get stuck.
Won't it be hard to learn to sew online?
I could never be as good as the people I see online so why try?
Hi! I'm Tara Reed,
an artist and fabric designer for Riley Blake Designs.
I love to sew but like so many others, I have a lot going on in my life. I see people whipping up king size quilts in what feels like days and think, "There is NO WAY I'd ever get that done!" AND I don't want a project that takes a year to complete.
Luckily - there are lots of quick projects you can do and have lots of fun! So whether you are sewing for fun, to make heartfelt gifts or to earn some extra cash, I can help get you started in the right direction!
And learning to sew online is AMAZING! You can learn wherever, whenever you want. You can pause a video, rewind if you want to see it again - it's like having a private tutor 24/7.

That was so fun and the time went by so fast. Even though I sew a lot, some of the technical things I didn't really know. So much good stuff!

My mom gave me a sewing machine for my birthday a few years ago and I thought it was a joke - surely something else was in the box... NO! So glad I found this workshop - maybe I'll finally use it to make something!

I have so much enjoyed learning at your elbow. The water bottle bag and lip balm holder have been hits for me at my local Farmer's Market this summer. So far you have helped me earn a couple hundred bucks! Thanks!
- Helen
I can't thank you enough for explaining the way you do as well as the close ups. I don't craft or sew as often as I want due to medical issues and lack of sewing knowledge. I do feel very confident in any of the projects you have done to the point when I have the energy to make some, they'll come out as they should.
- Erin
This tutorial was clear and precise, thank you!
